Well what does one say on his only sisters birthday, I am pretty sure (except mum and dad, who did have a large ish part to play in matters) that i am one who remembers (hazily if nothing else) the first of Lesley's 27 birthdays - NO cries of her brother does not know her age, i am of course counting day one as a birthday, which only seems fair as it was the momentous birthday itself.
So yes 27 birthdays ago, a very long 26 years, and in fact perhaps my favourite birthday of Lesley's, as it was the only one i got a present at. Not the chubby ginger ball of screaming and streams of various smelly liquids, but i got a cool red boat AND a yellow truck, what a gift from a new sister indeed.
What has happened to the truck and the boat nobdy within family Fraser can remember but Lesley still hangs around and is without doubt the favouite,as she will attest to - although mum assures us both there are know favourite 'we are special in every way' (one to many Disney moments for mother)
I am sure that the extended NC 'family' will do the looking after of the birthday girl come the 17th but no matter what i am sure it be a very different day than that of a Scottish birthday at the Dufftown or Tomintoul games!
i do remeber as i write the that one birhday a certain Lesley and Miss Jodie were driven by brother Colin to the Dufftown games for a birthday night out, the driver after some coaxing from an already slightly half cut pair was invited on the waltzers (enter amiercan translation here please) for a quick spin. He must admit that he enjoyed the spin but not as much as the hilarious sight of a Lesley and Jodie stepping off after one V&C and a spin around for two minutes, two very cheap dates that night!
